Maya has been unwell for the last few days. Nothing serious – just a virus of some sort. She’s had a fever, and a spotty rash. We took her to the emergency doctor’s yesterday, and he put our mind at rest. He told us that it was nothing to worry about, that the rash will clear up itself in a few days. Sure enough, this morning it had almost disappeared.
It’s interesting that Maya already has allocated gender-roles to Donna and I. If she needs cuddles and comfort, its Mommy she goes to. If she’s frightened, or has hurt herself, she wants me.
So this weekend, it has been all cuddles with Mommy on the sofa, in front of the TV.
